Candlewood Lake Directions

Latin's Landing Boat Ramp

 

  • GSP North to Rt. 87 East (Tappan Zee Bridge)
  • Over bridge to Rt. 287 keep left take Exit 8 to 287 East toward White Plains/Rye
  • Route 287 to Route 684 exit 9A North toward Brewster
  • Route 684 North to Route 84 east take exit 9E toward Danbury
  • Route 84 East to Route 7 use exit 7 on the left toward Brookfield/New Milford
  • Stay on Route 7 and take exit 11 toward Federal Road
  • Turn left on White Turkey Road .2mi
  • White Turkey road becomes Candlewood Lake Rd. 0.6 miles 
  • Go straight up hill
  • At Deli on the left side, make a left onto Nabby road
  • Follow Nabby Rd. 0.8 miles to N. Nabby Rd. 
  • Follow signs to Latin's Landing Boat Ramp

For anyone not coming from NJ simply go to http://www.mapquest.com/ type in your starting address and this end address "1 N Nabby Rd. Danbury, CT 06811-3258" and Map Quest will plot your personal route.  Once on Nabby Rd. follow the signs to the ramp.

Directions to Squantz Cove, CT

  • GSP North to Rt. 87 East (Tappan Zee Bridge)
  • Over bridge to Rt. 287 keep left take Exit 8 to 287 East toward White Plains/Rye
  • Route 287 to Route 684 exit 9A North toward Brewster
  • Route 684 North to Route 84 east take exit 9E toward Danbury
  • Take exit 5 toward CT-37 Downtown Danbury   0.1 miles
  • Turn slight right onto Downs Street   0.2 miles
  • Downs Street becomes CT-37  5.1 miles
  • Turn right onto CT-39 Bush Hill Rd.  3.7 miles
  • Turn right into Squantz Cove on Old Bogus Rd
  • There is a Deli on the left side of the road just before the entrance of the parking lot
  • There is a small brown sign with a picture of a launch ramp just before the entrance
  • If you cross the dam between Squantz Pond and Squantz Cove you went to far.
